Sprint’s Kyocera DuraXT Rugged Flip Phone

Sprint has officially announced a new rugged device named the Kyocera DuraXT. The new clamshell device comes with push-to-talk capabilities, which is perfect for seriously PTT’s users on tough work environment. The new Kyocera Dura XT has been made of non-slip Dura-Grip material and encased in a rubber. This tugged flip phone can appear under 1 meter water and work up to 30 minutes.

It meets Military Standard 810G compliance including shock, dust, vibration, humidity, temperature extremes, solar radiation, salt fog, and water immersion.
As for the specs of the new Kyocera DuraXT it comes with a 2-inch QVGA TFT screen the resolution of which is 240 x 320 pixels. It also has an external 1-inch monochrome display with 96 x 64 pixels resolution.  Sprint’s Kyocera Dura XT has microSD card support, powerful speakerphone, Bluetooth 2.0, 2.5mm headphone jack. The photos you can take by the 3.2 MP camera. I wonder whether it can take underwater photos?

Supporting Sprint Direct Connect and enhanced User Interface, the DuraXT features a 1360mAh battery that enables up to 8.08 hours of talk time. The dimensions are 4 x 2.1 x 1.1 inches and weighs 5.30 oz.
