SK Hynix 2.5-inch SATA III SSD and mSATA SSD

SK Hynix has announced its new solid state drives- the 2.5-inch SATA III SSD and mSATA SSD that have been designed for desktops and laptops. The SK Hynix 2.5-inch SSD is used 20nm class process of ONFI synchronous NAND Flash memory. It offers SATA III interface and is available in 128GB and 256GB of storage space.

According to the company, the SK Hynix 2.5-inch SATA III SSD will read and write speeds of up to 510MB/s and 470MB/s, respectively.
The drive can reach up to 85K IOPS write and 55K IOPS read performance. It supports 1.5 million hours of MTBF, TRIM feature, AES-128 Encryption, Wear Leveling, and S.M.A.R.T. The dimensions of 2.5-inch SSD are 100 x 69.9 x 9.5 mm and it uses Mini PCIe connector to PC OEMs. The price is not available yet.
