Samsung is doing its best to promote the Galaxy line well. As a result, Galaxy range devices are available everywhere at cheap prices and in different forms. But launching a high-end smartphone/tablet line is not an easy deal, because other top manufacturers will work hard to beat them. For example, Samsung is in an eternal struggle with Apple, and though the latest patent case was solved in favor of Cupertino based company, Samsung has a list of triumphal trials as well. One of the latest suitcases filed by Apple against the Galaxy S III seems to be resolved in favor of Samsung too, because this smartphone is the Android king and it’s not easy to dethrone the Galaxy S III. Anyway, till Apple is trying to ban the Galaxy S III sales, Samsung announces record sales numbers.
According to the manufacturer’s official statement, they had sold more than 30 million Galaxy S III smartphones in 2012. This means Samsung’s top-end device was sold the way more than the company had been expected. Agree it’s awesome to sell so many devices in 150 units, and as there are still two months left until the end of the year, we can assume this number will increase, undoubtedly.
As Samsung’s Shin said, “Meeting this sales milestone in five months sets another record for Samsung, and we are extremely proud and yet motivated to continue to provide our customers with products that they love.” So we can conclude the iPhone 5 has a strong competitor in face of the Samsung Galaxy S III.
