Asus PadFone 2 is Official [video]

Asus has introduced its new hybrid smartphone/tablet device- the Asus PadFone 2. The new device has been officially unveiled in Taiwan and like its predecessors (the Asus PadFone) it enables transforming into a tablet with additional dock and become an Asus PadFone Station.
Coming with a 4.7-inch Super IPS+ 720p HD touch display with 720 x 1280 pixels resolution, the Asus PadFone 2 is based on a 1.5GHz Qualcomm APQ8064 quad-core processor. This second generation of PadFone has 2GB of RAM and 16GB/32GB/64GB of internal storage, which is not expandable.

The new Asus PadFone 2 gives you the possibility to catch and shoot nice photos and videos with the 13MP rear-facing camera with 720p@60fps or 1080p@30fps video recording, while the video chat can be provided with a 1.2-megapixel front camera.
The other useful features of the Asus PadFone 2 include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, a MicroSD card slot, stereo speakers, gyroscope, proximity, 2140 mAh non-removable Li-Po battery, MicroUSB port, 3.5mm headphone jack and ambient light sensors. As for the connectivity features, the new hybrid device supports work in WCDMA 900/2100 MHz and LTE 800/1800/2600 MHz mobile networks. Running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS, the Asus PadFone 2 will be upgraded to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean later.

As for the tablet dock, it provides a 10.1-inch touch IPS display the resolution of which is 1280 x 800 pixels. There are also internal antennas, 1MP front-facing camera, and a 5000mAh battery. The handset weighs 135 grams, while the hybrid device itself is 514 grams.
The Asus PadFone 2 will be available in black and white colors and will arrive at the countries mentioned below before the end of 2012:
