Apple iPad mini is Official
The rumors about the Apple iPad mini have been confirmed. During the Apple event that took place on October 23th the company introduced the new iPad mini with the latest iOS and 7.9-inch.
It’s not a secret Steve Jobs slammed 7-inch slates for having no real application, but things have changed and the 7.9-inch iPad mini is a reality now. Coming with a 7.9-inch LED-backlit IPS screen, the resolution of which is 1024×768 pixels, the new iPad mini is the same as the first and second 9.7″ iPads. The change is in the pixel density that goes higher at 163ppi due to its smaller display.



The iPad mini is based on a Apple A5 chipset, which is familiar to us from the iPad 2. It is based ib a a 1GHz dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 processor, PowerVR SGX543MP2 graphics and 512MB RAM. By the way, the new Lighting post that is available on the new iPhone 5 is present on the new iPad mini.

The new Apple device is packed with a 5MP (iSight) rear camera capable of 1080p video recording, while A 720p front-facing FaceTime camera is onboard. The device will be available in white and black colors and 32 or 64GB non-expandable memory.
All those who want to get the iPad mini can pre-order it starting next week. The base model of the iPad mini will cost $329, the 32GB model – $429, while the 64GB model – $529.
As for the Wi-Fi+Cellular model, its price will start at $459 for the 16GB.
